It would take 6 mangoes to power the Jacobson Arena for one minute. Therefore requiring 360 mangoes for one hour, and 8,640 for one day.

did you know
Did you know you can generate electricity from an orange?
Did you know that the acid in the orange combines with electrodes, like copper and zinc, to create electricity?
Did you know an orange can power LED lights or a basic digital clock?
Did you know that a single orange can produce .9 watts of electricity?

DID YOU KNOW - BANANA
In the previous class period, I learned that food not only supplies energy to living creatures when consumed, but if put through the proper conversion process which allows it to convert its energy to electricity, it can supply electricity to lighten up infrastructure and charge motor based objects.
Banana
Did you know that the typical Banana weighs 118 grams and contains 105 calories.
Did you know that it would take 50,527 bananas to satisfy the annual average electricity consumption per household in the state of Hawaii - countries' lowest consuming state.
Did you know that it would take 126,482 bananas to satisfy the annual average electricity consumption per household in the State of Louisiana - countries' highest consuming state.
Did you know that it would take 164 bananas to fully recharge the battery of the typical electrical vehicle which requires 20 kWh to fully charge.
Did you know that it would take 1,496 bananas to keep the average modern fridge running for one whole day, given that the fridge uses 180 kWh per day.
Did you know that you can create a lemon battery? A lemon battery is rather hard to make, but can be done. It changes chemical energy to electrical energy that can be used to power small objects and such. A single lemon produces 7/10 volt of electricity.with just two lemons you can power an inexpensive watch!

Potatoes and energy
Did you know that a potato can conduct electricity? Yes it can indeed, the electrical current is activated when two specific metallic objects, like copper are inserted into the potato. These metals are important because they then help move electrons from zinc to material to the copper, then producing electricity. Raw potatoes: they produce about .5 volts, it would take about 2,580 potatoes to power a house for just an hour!
